At Nivia Born Boutique Hotel, we want our guests to enjoy unique experiences that connect them with the substance and history of Mallorca. One of the most iconic sites worth visiting is Marivent Gardens, a botanical jewel located on the outskirts of Palma that combines nature and history with a touch of royal majesty.
A botanical paradise in Palma
Boasting over 9,000 square metres, The Marivent Palace Gardens are a magnificent example of the botanical wealth of the Mediterranean. Here, you can walk among 40 species of indigenous plants, such as pine, fig and carob trees, as well as some exotic species such as bamboo. This garden, perfectly fitted out for exploring on foot, provides a great opportunity to unwind and enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of Mallorcan flora.
These gardens are not only remarkable due to their natural beauty, but also their historical value. Located next to the Palace of Marivent, the holiday residence of the Spanish Royal Family, they are the perfect setting for a quiet stroll in an environment steeped in history.
Visited by important figures
Built in the 1920s, the Palace of Marivent was designed by architect Guillem Forteza Pinya and has been, since 1973, the official residence of the Spanish monarchs while taking their holidays in the Balearic Islands. The garden is not only a green space where you can enjoy a pleasant stroll, but also a place full of symbolism. Great personalities such as Charles of England and Princess Diana, Michelle Obama and Hugo Chávez have visited the Palace and its surroundings.
