At Nivia Born Boutique Hotel, we believe in the importance of contributing to the wellbeing of our community and bringing joy to those who need it most. We are therefore delighted to announce our partnership with Sonrisa Médica, an organisation that has been using laughter as therapy in hospitals in the Balearic Islands for 30 years. This year 2024 marks 10 years since the FEHM (Hotel Business Federation of Mallorca) joined this very special initiative, and at Nivia Born Boutique Hotel we are also joining the #HotelesDeNarices24 campaign, a project that seeks to transform the hospital experience of patients and their families through humour and empathy.
Community engagement
At Nivia, we also have a delicious and supportive proposal: our exclusive Nose Cocktail. Every time you enjoy this drink, you will be supporting the #HotelesDeNarices24 campaign, as we donate part of the proceeds to our friends at Sonrisa Médica. With every sip, you help to bring more smiles and joy to health centres in the Balearic Islands. Thanks to your collaboration, we can continue to support this special cause.
Sonrisa Médica: transforming lives with humour and magic
In 1994, an unexpected moment of joy in a hospital in Paris inspired Miquel Borrás to found Sonrisa Medica in the Balearic Islands. After seeing his ten-year-old daughter Laura laugh when some clowns visited her, Borrás decided to dedicate his energy to bringing that same joy to children hospitalised in the Balearic Islands. With a vision of continuing to be a benchmark in the Balearic community, Sonrisa Médica seeks to integrate the figure of the Hospital Clown as an essential part of the children’s therapeutic process, ensuring that smiles are never lacking in the most difficult moments.
From Nivia Born Boutique Hotel, we invite you to be part of this charitable action in our facilities: each Nose Cocktail you enjoy becomes a new opportunity for patients to find the best medicine in laughter. Join us and Sonrisa Médica in continuing to support a cause committed to the happiness and well-being of those who need to laugh the most.
