La Serra de Tramuntana

The Serra de Tramuntana is a mountain range that runs from the southwest to the northeast of the Spanish island of Mallorca, forming its northern backbone. On 27 June 2011, the Tramuntana Range was awarded World Heritage Status by UNESCO as an area of great physical and cultural significance.

A visit to the Real Cartuja (the Royal Carthusian Monastery) is a must, as are the famous “Coca de Patata” biscuits from Valldemossa which can be found in every bakery in the village.

Our tour continues with a visit to Deià and the stunning Son Marroig (15 minutes from Valldemossa) before we reach our last stop, Sóller. One of the most attractive towns in Spain, Sóller basks in the heart of the ‘valley of oranges’ or the ‘valley of gold’ as it is sometimes known and has much to offer visitors and residents alike.
