Did you know that Palma has its own Golden Mile? The Paseo del Born, right at the heart of the city, and less than a minute’s walk from the Nivia Born Boutique Hotel, is a gorgeous boulevard lined with huge trees where charming cafés live alongside small boutiques and shops belonging to the major national and international fashion labels, housed in what were once manor houses.
Two stone sphinxes, known by the Mallorcans as the “Born lions”, welcome you at each end of the boulevard. Have a seat on one of the stone benches that line the Paseo and do some people-watching, or maybe sit at a café terrace and enjoy the privileged surroundings as you watch the residents and tourists go about their business or spend the day shopping in the many boutiques and stores.
