Nit de l’Art 2023: enjoy one of the most eagerly awaited nights in Palma - Nivia Born Boutique Hotel

Only two weeks to go before one of the biggest art events in Palma. Next Saturday, September 23, art will take centre stage in the city streets during the renowned Nit de l’Art, a highly anticipated event that heralds the start of the artistic season and is brimming with activities catering to all tastes.

If you want to experience the lively atmosphere and palpable enthusiasm pulsating through the heart of Palma and visit exhibitions that explore art from various perspectives, the 27th edition of the Nit de l’Art is not to be missed. Between 6 and 11pm, a dozen galleries affiliated with Art Palma Contemporani will welcome the public completely free of charge to showcase intriguing projects by local, Spanish and international artists.

But art will not only be on display in the galleries. Bars, building façades, balconies, urban features, etc. are also very likely to be a site for displaying the work of young artists. The day the city becomes like a huge open-air museum!

More art and sublime experiences within easy reach

Very near almost all the participating galleries, the Nivia Born Boutique Hotel is also a venue that reflects the artistic fervour that takes hold of the streets. Our luxury hotel in the heart of Palma has been focused on supporting and promoting art ever since it first opened. Not only by being the official sponsors of events such as this, but also by integrating art into our rooms to enhance their ambience and make them more beautiful and inspiring while also helping promote contemporary art.

If you choose the Nivia Born Boutique Hotel to take a break before visiting the next exhibition, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by several works by the artist Andrea Torres Balaguer decorating the walls on each floor. The elegant furniture and exquisite decoration will accompany you in our The Lounge Restaurant, where you can recharge your batteries with a sumptuous Mediterranean dinner based on seasonal, locally sourced and superior-quality products.

However, if you wish to continue relishing the pleasures of being outdoors, immersing yourself in the characteristic enchantment of this special night, we suggest you go up to our eighth-floor rooftop bar and restaurant El Cielo del Born. Here you can also savour delicious dishes from our carefully designed menu or toast with a refreshing cocktail or your preferred wine, all while basking in the festive ambience of the Mallorcan ‘nuit blanche’. And with the backdrop of truly spectacular views of the cathedral and Paseo del Born.

Your private museum, also at Nivia Born Boutique Hotel

In our rooms, art is an ever-present feature thanks to our close collaboration with Gallery RED. For instance, if you book the Gallery Red Junior Suite, you’ll find yourself sharing the space with a work by the man considered the successor to Warhol (Hunt Slonem) or a beautiful portrait of a woman by Elena Gual.
