Springtime in Palma, your next city break - Nivia Born Boutique Hotel

Although it pains us to say it, Easter has been and gone and – let’s be honest – most of us are already thinking about our next holiday. Can you think of a better way to cope with the daily routine than by planning your next city break? If you haven’t decided where to go, Palma is waiting to welcome you with open arms.

Palma is a fabulous destination for a springtime visit. At this time of year, the days are getting longer, and the good weather encourages everyone to spend more time outdoors. Losing yourself among the charming streets of the city centre is possibly the best way to get to know the city and soak up the welcoming, friendly atmosphere. If you’d like to learn more about the city’s history, you can book a guided tour to visit the most important sights and monuments, including the Cathedral, the Almudaina Royal Palace, the Plaza Mayor, the Lonja de Palma, and the Parque del Mar, to name just a few.

As well as its rich history and culture, Palma has a particularly close relationship with the sea. Its bay is like a beautiful balcony with privileged views of the Mediterranean and provides innumerable leisure options. One of the easiest, but no less special, is to wander along the promenade which has a length of approximately 5 kilometres. On one side of the promenade, you can admire some of the great treasures of the city, and the other will surprise you with an array of modern yachts. If you enjoy cycling, we recommend hiring a bike to ride along the coast before stopping for a delicious lunch or dinner at one of the legendary restaurants in the area, such as El Pesquero or Ca’n Eduardo. Portixol is a great place to stop too, it’s an old fishing port which still conserves its authentic character with chic bars and restaurants where you can sit and enjoy a spectacular sunset.

Returning to the heart of the city, the area known as the Golden Mile, which includes the Paseo del Borne, Calle Sant Feliu, and Avenida Jaime III, is a great spot for those who enjoy shopping. The most widely recognised Spanish and international brands have stores here, and you’ll also find the most prestigious art galleries in the city. If you enjoy contemporary and modern art, set aside some time to discover new talent.

Do you need any more reasons to visit the heart of Mallorca’s capital? Nivia Born Boutique Hotel is giving you 5 % discount when you book your accommodation using the code:  SUMMERTOP. Plus, if you sign up for our Nivia Loyalty Club, you’ll get an exclusive 10 % discount, a welcome gift, a discount at bars and restaurants, and much more.
