The well-established Nit de l’Art, when galleries and museums come to life for the night, is just the tip of the iceberg in a vibrant artistic and cultural movement that is grounded in the variety and richness of the galleries dotted around the city.
In Calle Sant Feliu, not far from the Nivia Born Boutique Hotel, you’ll find the Gerhardt Braun Gallery in a beautiful palatial building from the 17th century, with large format international works of art displaying different artistic disciplines. A few metres further on, you’ll be surprised by the unique Kewenig gallery, which suggests a dialogue with different generations and cultures through works by conceptual artists and painters.

AHOY! Art Gallery Palma, located nearby, at the heart of Palma, offers a variety of contemporary works by both local and internationally renowned artists in a gallery measuring 300 m². “We display the works of art that we like best”, says the manager.
Another art centre worth a visit in the city is Galería Baró, committed to the diffusion of expression and contemporary artistic language, and the nexus between artists, collectors, and institutions.
If you want to enrich your journey around the most prestigious galleries in Palma, and discover emergent artists, you shouldn’t miss Galería Fran Reus, on Paseo Mallorca; Galería Horrach Moyà, in Plaça de la Drassana, or L21 Gallery, in the lively neighbourhood of S’Escorxador.
CaixaForum Palma, the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró, the Fundación Juan March, Es Baluard and the Casal Solleric are other exhibition spaces that are well worth a visit if you enjoy modern, contemporary art.
