At Nivia Born Boutique Hotel, art is not only contemplated, it is lived. On the 22nd March, wake up in the heart of creativity with Art Palma Brunch, when the city is transformed into an open-air gallery. Stroll through its colourful streets, discover more than 40 exhibitions and immerse yourself in the inspirational works of a hundred artists. As part of this experience, our hotel will be a stop on this artistic journey, hosting the works of Martina Pinosa and Óscar González in collaboration with the ADEMA University School. Human Nature by Martina Pinosa invites us to reflect on these barriers and mechanisms.
“Just as the sea covers the rocks with algae to protect them from wear and tear, us humans create
emotional shields to protect us from pain, fear, mistrust, indifference… defence mechanisms that, while protecting us, can also distance us from what we really need to feel”, argues artist Martina Pinosa.
Óscar González’s Organic Models is made up of several 3D printed pieces which, when exhibited in space, are presented as forms which seem to deform and flow, instead of maintaining a rigid, defined structure, giving prominence to the matter itself. This transformation emphasises the interaction between the piece and its environment, inviting the viewer to perceive not only the form, but also the relationship between the material and the surrounding space.
