Thanks to a close collaboration with Gallery RED, in the Gallery Red Junior Suite you will feel a connection with art similar to what you might experience at the Tate Modern or MoMa in New York, the only difference is that here you can view all the works in complete privacy and for as long as you choose. In the most special room at Nivia Born Boutique Hotel, as soon as you open the door, you will be welcomed by the brushstrokes of Hunt Slonm, a master of neo-expressionism. “There isn’t a celebrity who doesn’t have a painting by him” in New York, wrote Vanity Fair a few years ago. Slonem has won over Madonna, the Clintons and other members of New York high society.
But in addition to bringing international stars, we are committed to promoting local art by providing a space for up-and-coming artists such as Elena Gual. You will also find a charismatic female portrait by him in the Gallery Red Junior Suite. Thick strokes are his trademark and he produces them with a palette knife, as he had to give up paintbrushes due to a sudden allergy. Since then, he has created his own unmistakable voice, which has enabled him to take his work to cities such as New York and London for a number of sell-out shows. His quirky style is sure to charm you too!

You need to go no further, the best contemporary art awaits you at Gallery RED, with artists such as Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Damien Hirst, as well as emerging talents such as Rubén Martín de Lucas, Iván Montaña, Toni Garau, Adam David Taylor, Lidia Masllorens, Andrea Torres and Viani.
The street can also be an excellent place to nurture your love of art while taking a stroll. That’s why we recommend the exhibition by visual artist Julian Opie (available until 31 August), which will bring his sculptures, installations and LCD films to Passeig del Born, Passeig Sagrera, La Llotja and Casal Solleric.
