The European Car Free Day has been celebrated every 22 September for the past 24 years – 2023 is no exception – an initiative that encourages us to consider the use we make of our vehicles and to try alternative and more sustainable methods of transport for the planet.

Remember, whether you are a resident or a tourist, on 22 September you can travel free on city bus, train and metro without having to show a card.

The sustainable mobility festival continues on Saturday
To round off Sustainable Mobility Week, on Saturday 23rd September, in the Plaça del Mercat and the Plaça Joan Carles I, there will be numerous festive events with activities for all the family: Barridiades, Garden Toy Library, face painting, storytelling, Museobus, etc. Don’t miss the chance to visit an electric bus or become a train driver for a few moments at Palma Intermodal station, where you can also learn more about the history of public transport through an exhibition.
